Director James Gunn's Man of Steel Lands on the Streaming Platform in Days
Just 70 days after its big-screen premiere, the new Superman arrives for streaming on the service starting Friday.
Lead actor David Corenswet announced the news on social media with a photo of his TV displaying the film on the streamer’s homepage. Tagging co-star Sara Sampaio with a nod to her character Eve, while the director echoed the reveal on X, confirming the movie arrives Friday, Sept. 19. Warner Bros. validated the news not long after in an official statement.
Exclusive Superman Experience
Honoring the Man of Steel's arrival, the platform is introducing a exclusive Superman-themed design packed with engaging elements. Subscribers will notice Daily Planet–inspired interface design, a dedicated Superman content area highlighting related films and shows, and secret links across the homepage that take viewers into Lex Luthor’s Pocket Dimension.
Milestone Achievements
Superman surpassed multiple records since its release, including the largest debut for a Superman movie to date. It outperformed Barbie in joining the Two Million Watched Letterboxd club in under 45 days.
What's Next for Superman
While opinions are divided about its depiction of Superman or even its ending, Superman has established a promising start in DC's new universe. Another installment titled Man of Tomorrow is officially announced, with Corenswet's Superman and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor seemingly teaming up against an larger danger. The film is scheduled to begin production in the coming year and debut in movie theaters on the summer of 2027.
For now, viewers can stream Superman on the streaming service from September 19th.
